ONDO 2012: 10,000 ACN, PDP MEMBERS DEFECT TO LP

Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has ruled out discrimination of any form against latest defectors to the state’s ruling Labour party.

He made the pledge in Idanre yesterday.

Over 10, 000 leaders and members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State   defected into the Labour Party.

Lagos State Governor,  Babatunde Fashola on Tuesday arrested two top Military officers for driving on the dedicated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane.

MILITARY ORDERS EVACUATION ON PLATEAU VILLAGES

Jos -The Special Task Force (STF) maintaining peace in Plateau has said that the evacuation order given to some communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local governments is based on `military necessity’.

The STF on Saturday ordered the inhabitants of five villages – Mahanga, Kakuruk, Kuzen, Maseh and Shong 2 to vacate their settlements in 48 hours, to give way for a “military operation’’.
