FASHION: TIP OF AN ICEBERG

Fashion may vary considerably within a society according to age, social class, generation, occupation and geography as well as over time.
Looking good is good business, that’s a fact. In trying to look good, and make a statement in your fashionable clothes, you should avoid being a fashion victim. For instance, an older person dressing in the style of younger people may look ridiculous in the eyes of both the old and the young.
The term fashion victim or fashionista refers to someone who slavishly follows current fashions. You will agree with me that there are a lot of people in our society that are fashion victims today; as many people tend to just roll with the fashion trend without minding how well it looks on them. One may go with what is in vogue but should also be cautious of the type of cloth he or she wears and how comfortable it feels on them.
A touch of make-up can go a long way in adding colour to a beautiful outfit. Make-up is used to enhance beauty and conceal any imperfection on the skin. There are basically three types of make-up:
The straight make up: is more of an everyday use, this might just include powder, lip gloss, eye  and lip liners.
Character make up: We see this type of make-up in movies and dramas where actors make up to portray a character or a symbol. Many people often copy this type of make-up. This is wrong. It can be funny to walk into an office and be greeted by an official whose face is painted like a clown.
The fancy make up: This is worn once in a while for specific occasions like a runway parade, football fans (in their team colour), and circus shows.
A nice outfit and a cool make-up can be touched up with fashion accessories and decorative pieces such as jewelry, gloves, handbags, hats, belts, scarves, wigs, watches, sunglasses, pins, stockings, bowties, hand fans etc. Accessories can add colour and a unique style and class to outfits. They can also have practical functions. Hats, for example, protect the face from sun-rays; as do sun-glasses. Bags are used for carriage. Accessories can also be used to distract attention from one part of the body to another, especially in the event of a defect. For instance, in the case of one with a bad leg, a scarf or veil or a cowboy belt can take attention away from the leg. A necklace or sun-shade can be used to cover up or direct focus away from a scarred face.
These are just few tips that I hope will make you appreciate and adopt fashion vogues only as it suits you. Remember, looking good is good business.
