Fresh Graduates Recruitment Exercise at Osun State as Governor Lifts Embargo on Employment


The temporary embargo placed on employment in Osun State may have been lifted as the state Governor; Rauf Aregbesola has approved recruitment of university graduates and recognised professional certificate holders into the state civil service and government parastatals.
The news came on Tuesday in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mrs Bimpe Ogunlumade, who urged qualified candidates to obtain appropriate recruitment forms from the commission.


The recruitment exercise is to ensure the fulfilment of the six-point integral action plan of the administration. The statement said that category of workers to be recruited included administrative officers, lawyers, accountants, inspectors of taxes, quantity surveyors and information officers.
Others vacancies to be filled in the public service were medical doctors, pharmacists, nursing officers, education officers, engineers, auditors as well as produce officers. The list of workers needed to strengthen the state work- force also included registrars of cooperatives, architects and building officers.
The statement then called for applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to obtain, complete and submit their application forms within a period of one week at the state Civil Service Commission, behind Bola Ige House, State Secretariat, Abere, Osogbo.
